NTR Jr in War 2 | RRR star could become an Indian agent across YRF Spy Universe

NTR Jr is all set to make his Bollywood debut, in the YRF Spy Universe that includes box office successes like War (over Rs 475 crore worldwide) and Pathaan (over Rs 1,050 crore globally). According to multiple online media reports, after Salman Khan’s character Tiger in the Tiger films, Shah Rukh Khan in and as Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan’s character Kabir in War, it is NTR Jr. who is touted to be the latest addition to the Yash Raj Films Spyverse films as an Indian agent.

NTR Jr's role in the upcoming film has garnered a lot of curiosity since last year and there have been many, taking wild guesses about it. There were some who speculated that NTR Jr was probably the bad guy in the film. But if recent reports are to be believed, all conjectures can be put to rest.

The YRF Spy Universe has been created by Aditya Chopra. War 2, the second installment of the Hrithik starrer, will see NTR Jr take on the role of a desi agent, and add a fresh perspective and a new dimension to the already popular franchise. The film is scheduled to release on August 14, 2025 - a Thursday - to take advantage of the Independence Day long weekend next year.

This new character with an actor of NTR Jr’s calibre will add a lot to the franchise and the makers Aditya Chopra and Ayan Mukherjee are all set to showcase the dynamic between the actors Hrithik and NTR Jr. It has been reported that all characters will be multilayered and NTR Jr’s character will have a role to play not just in this film but also in other films of the YRF Spy Universe. This one is touted to be a pan-India film with talents from many South industries.

It has been reported that NTR Jr's character-journey is a longer one and goes beyond just War 2. Just like Shah Rukh Khan’s film had a crucial Salman Khan cameo, NTR Jr’s character might also have such appearances in upcoming films.
