Anushka Sharma delivers second baby; Deepika Padukone in second trimester?

Speculations were rife about Anushka Sharma’s pregnancy for a while, but the actress and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli did not acknowledge them. They have now posted the announcement of the arrival of their baby boy, whom they have named Akaay. The child was born on February 15. Virat and Anushka's first child, daughter Vamika, was born in January 2021.

While Anushka and Virat have now confirmed the news, Bollywood’s power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are yet to address rumours of DP’s pregnancy. According to a report by The Week, sources have told the publication that the actress is in her second trimester. However, neither Deepika nor Ranveer have responded to the claims.

Rumours of her pregnancy also gathered steam when she recently presented an award at the prestigious British Academy Film Awards
(BAFTA). She presented an award to filmmaker Jonathan Glazer for the Best Film not in the English language for The Zone of Interest at the ceremony on Sunday.

Clad in a shimmery saree and custom jewellery by Sabyasachi, Deepika Padukone posed for the shutterbugs but with no glimpse of her torso. Later, she posted some images from her breakfast in bed at her hotel where she was lying in bed covered with a light blanket.

On her return to Mumbai, she was photographed at the airport wearing athleisure and an open trench coat.

There is also speculation that she opted out of Season 3 of the popular international series The White Lotus for personal reasons, but then the actress had never confirmed being part of it.

Ranveer and Deepika have been married for five years now and in a recent interview to Vogue, when the actress was asked about her plans for embracing motherhood, she had said, “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”

Deepika was last seen in the film Fighter alongside Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor, and her next is slated to be Kalki 2898 AD and Singham Again, in which she has a cameo.  Ranveer, on his part, delivered the blockbuster Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani last year. He will be seen next in Singham Again as well as in Don 3, taking over from Shah Rukh Khan.
