Diwali, celebrated with fervour across India and many parts of the world, is all set to grace us on November 12, 2023. Referred to as the "Festival of Lights," Diwali not only illuminates the night sky but also our hearts, symbolising happiness, wealth, prosperity, and warmth.

Rooted in the depths of Hindu culture, Diwali's origins can be traced back to the lunisolar month of Kartik. This festival finds its roots in the ancient texts and legends of India. It is believed to be the day Lord Rama returned to his kingdom Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. The people of Ayodhya, overjoyed by his return, lit lamps to illuminate his path, thus establishing the tradition of lighting lamps during Diwali.

Diwali holds profound significance as it represents the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. It's a time for individuals to cleanse their homes and hearts, let go of grudges, and start anew. Families come together, exchange gifts, and engage in acts of charity. In essence, it serves as a reminder that even in the darkest of times, the light of hope and goodness can prevail.
