Nostradamus, the 16th century philosopher known for his eerily accurate prophesies, may have predicted an untimely end to King Charles’s reign. His prediction regarding the “King of the Isles” has resurfaced amid the British monarch’s cancer diagnosis.
King Charles III's shock cancer diagnosis was revealed Monday. Doctors treating the 75-year-old have declined to confirm the type of cancer.
According to a report in Metro, a verse in Nostradamus’s 1555 text "Les Propheties" ("The Prophecies") states that the “King of the Isles” would be “driven out by force” and will be “replaced by one who will have no mark of a king.”
Expert Mario Reading analysed the passage and interpreted it to mean: “Because they disapproved of his divorce, a man who later they considered unworthy; The People will force out the King of the islands; A man will replace who never expected to be king.”
Some believe the prophecy saying “replaced by one who will have no mark of a king” may indicate that Prince Harry would take up the throne.
Harry, Duke of Sussex, is King Charles’s younger son and fifth in line to the throne. Although estranged from the family, Harry prepared to fly home from the United States after rallying to his father's side, whose diagnosis comes just 17 months into his reign following the death of his 96-year-old mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on September 8, 2022.
