The traffic in Mumbai can move at a snail's pace, especially during the evenings, which could delay the time needed to reach home or other destinations. As a result, the common man is forced to look for alternatives such as taking a metro ride to beat the traffic and reach the destination on time.

However, it seems like it is not just the common man who wants to beat the traffic by taking a metro ride. On Thursday, actor Akshay Kumar was seen taking a ride in the Mumbai metro to escape the road traffic, the video of which was shared on X (formerly Twitter).

In the video, the 55-year-old actor could be seen seated wearing a black outfit with sneakers and a cap. He was also wearing a mask and was travelling with movie producer Dinesh Vijan, who was sitting beside him. The duo had taken a seat near one of the doors of the metro.

Kumar taking the metro to reach a different location in Mumbai is not the first instance of a Bollywood celebrity using the transport service to travel from one place to another in the city.

In April, veteran actor Hema Malini took a ride in the Mumbai metro and later in an auto and wrote on X (formerly Twitter) about how she enjoyed the experience.

A few days later, Sara Ali Khan also travelled in the Mumbai metro to beat the traffic.
