Venture capital firm Peak XV will host over 60 founders to Silicon Valley in the US for an artificial intelligence (AI) tour between February to 13-16 in an attempt to take Indian startups global, sources told Moneycontrol.
The founders are part of Peak XV's Surge cohorts and its early-stage portfolio, and includes companies operating in AI, deep-tech, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and consumer domains.
Surge is Peak XV's scale-up programme comprising of startups from India, south-east Asia, and Australia.
The startups to be hosted by Peak XV includes Rebrick AI, Arintra, Inferless, Pix.ai, Ethereal Machines, Incore Semiconductors, Mindgrove Technologies, Horizon Quantum Computing, Newtrace, Relevance AI, Multiplier, Atlan and Invideo, among others.
The week would also include an ‘AI day’, with focus on learnings from the playbook of founders and operators who have made it big in the world of AI. These firms include the likes of OpenAI, Glean, Moveworks, and 6Sense, among others, said a founder who did not wish to be named.
On AI Day, founders will visit NVIDIA campus to have an in-depth discussion on the future of AI, the sources said.
Peak XV, formerly known as Sequoia Capital India & SEA, did not comment on the story.
February 13-16 also marks the closing of the ninth cohort of Surge.
The sessions between February to 13-16 will focus on building world-class companies, as well as the winning formula in the US market. Other sessions include deep-dives on scaling, go-to-market strategy, hiring, marketing, etc., with domain experts and operators from the US market.
Additionally, Peak XV is also curating one-on-one connections for the attending startups with founders and operators in the US, the sources said.
These developments follow SoftBank's AI tour of Indian founders to the Silicon Valley in October, 2023. Moneycontrol had exclusively reported that the two-day AI tour, organised by SoftBank India, was aimed at supporting its portfolio companies’ efforts to infuse AI into their product suite.
