Google has released an update for its Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones that adds new features and AI tools to the device. The first of these is a new Thermometer app that uses sensors next to the phone's camera to record body temperature. Users will have to place the phone's camera bar next to their forehead where the temperature sensor resides. It can also be used on food items, rubber, glass objects, and more.

Just like on the S24, users will to have long press the home button or the navigation bar and circle, scribble or highlight any part of an image and Google will bring up search results for that object.
This feature works with help of AI, and Google says that it will only search for parts of the image that you highlight. Also, using the power of AI is Photomoji that can create emoji reactions and stickers from your photos.
Magic Compose uses Google's Gemini Nano AI model to suggest replies on your messages app. It can also help you compose text using various different styles and moods.

Besides these, Google announced Seamless Audio Switching for the Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2.
