There were allegations of malpractices in the award of the contract worth approximately Rs 2,200 crore of civil works in the project.
The searches are spread across three locations, including the premises of Kanwaljeet Singh Duggal of Mainstream IT Solutions Private Limited and D P Singh, they said.
Malik said that the CBI has asked for his presence at the agency's Akbar Road guesthouse in Delhi for "certain clarifications".
Speaking at a Jat community programme here, Malik said he will also join the movement once he completes his term as Meghalaya governor.

A Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said Malik has been shifted to Meghalaya, and Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari has been asked to discharge the functions of Goa governor in addition to his own duties.
Malik, 73, former governor of Jammu and Kashmir, will replace Mridula Sinha, the first woman governor of Goa. Sinha will formally retire as governor on Friday. Her tenure had ended on August 31 this year.
Asked about Gandhi's statement on alleged violence in Kashmir, the Governor said, "Rahul Gandhi is a man from a prestigious family of the country, but he has behaved like a political juvenile."

His demand came after Malik, defending his decision to dissolve the state assembly, claimed "extensive horse-trading" was going on and it would have been impossible for parties with "opposing political ideologies" to form a stable government.
"For the past 15 to 20 days, I have been getting reports of large-scale horse trading. MLAs are being threatened and several types of underhanded dealings are going on," Malik told reporters at Raj Bhawan here.

"Rs 8,000 crore has been earmarked for completion of all such projects which are hanging fire for decades for want of adequate resources. Inordinate delay in the execution of developmental projects not only leads to cost and time overrun, but also fuels public dissatisfaction as they are not able to benefit from the same," Malik said.
