    India celebrates its Republic Day in January 26, with the overarching theme of \'Women Power\' taking centre stage in this year\'s celebration. The ceremony marks commemorative parades, flag hoisting, displays and exhibitions by the different states and union territories at the Kartavya Path in the heart of the national capital. The theme of this year\'s Republic Day parade projects the nation\'s women power and democratic values, with President Droupadi Murmu leading the event on the ceremonial boulevard that is Kartavya Path. For the first time in the history, an all-women tri-services contingent is part of the Republic Day celebrations. Additionally, the parade has heralded over 100 women artists playing Indian musical instruments such as Sankh, Naadswaram, and Nagada for the first time, instead of the traditional military bands. Around 15 women pilots are part of Indian Air Force\'s fly-past, representing \'Nari Shakti\'. The contingents of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will also consist of only women personnel. The grand celebrations will be witnessed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been joined by French President Emmanuel Macron for company as the chief guest. Macron is the sixth French Head of State to attend India\'s Republic Day ceremony. More
