In a letter to the presidents of the parties, he said from the beginning of the yatra, the Congress has sought the participation of every like-minded party and on the invitation of Rahul Gandhi, MPs of several political parties have joined it at different stages.
"One day three poor girl children in torn clothes came to me...When I held them, they were shivering as they were not wearing proper clothes. On that day, I took a decision that till the time I do not shiver, I will only wear a T-shirt," Gandhi said, while addressing a street corner meeting in Haryana's Ambala this evening.
If one looks closely, the career graphs of both Rajan and Manmohan have striking similarities. Both served in the Indian government and the central bank and have international repute.
Speaking in a corner meeting at Peddapur village in Medak district, Gandhi alleged that the NDA government is privatising public sector undertakings such as BHEL and Railways.

The third day of the yatra, which commenced around 7.15 am, also saw an encouraging turnout of people like the previous two days of the Kerala leg of the foot march which is set to cover 3,570 kilometres from Kanyakumari to Kashmir over a 150-day period.
The 150-day yatra had been launched from Kanyakumari in neighbouring Tamil Nadu on March 7. Gandhi commenced his walk from Vellayani junction here on Monday morning.
Speaking to the media during the yatra which started from Kanyakumari on Thursday, Gandhi accused the BJP of taking control of institutions of the country and pressurising those who are against them.
Shashi Tharoor, who is said to be contemplating running for the post of Congress president, also expressed hope that many leaders would contest the upcoming elections, giving a wide choice to the electors, and stressed he has neither ruled himself in nor out.
