Pune, Maharashtra: On several students of a school admitted to hospital due to food poisoning, Dr Dhananjay Patil, Chetna Hospital, Pimpri-Chinchwad says, "Initially, around 10 students from DY Patil School were brought in. They were feeling dizzy, had stomach pain and some even vomited. A total of 30 students were brought in and all were discharged after treatment."

Delhi Police Special Cell has recovered a consignment of cocaine from a closed shop in Ramesh Nagar in Delhi. About 200 kg of drugs have been recovered, whose value in the international market is more than Rs 2,000 crore.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has announced that it will discontinue the weekly expiry of derivatives contracts for Fin Nifty, Bank Nifty, and Midcap indices, effective November 20, 2024. This decision follows a directive issued by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

As part of the changes, weekly expiry will continue exclusively for the Nifty index.

Italy's defence minister summoned the Israeli ambassador Thursday, a government source told AFP, after the UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon said it had been hit by Israeli tank fire.

The UNIFIL force, which has some 10,000 peacekeepers in south Lebanon, said that Israeli tank fire on its headquarters wounded two members, as Israeli troops battle Hezbollah militants on the border.

US consumer inflation cooled slightly less than expected last month, according to government data published Thursday, providing further evidence that price pressures are easing ahead of November's presidential election.

The UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon said Thursday two of its members were wounded when its positions came under fire in the country's south, where Israel and Hezbollah are fighting.

"Three positions were hit by fire and two peacekeepers were injured," a UNIFIL spokeswoman said, after Lebanon's official National News Agency said a watchtower of the peacekeeping force was hit in the Ras Naqura area.
