Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Vice Chancellor Santishree D Pandit on Friday warned of strict action after some students were injured during a clash between rival groups late Thursday, PTI has reported.
The violence took place at JNU's School of Languages building late on Thursday night. A few students have also been hospitalized.
The clash took place between students from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Left-backed groups. Both sides have filed cross FIRs after the incident.

In a clip from the incident, a man can be seen thrashing students with a stick while in another, a person is seen throwing a bicycle at students.
Some other videos circulating online show individuals being mobbed and thrashed by a group while security personnel of the university tried to rescue them.
According to reports, the clash broke out between the groups over the selection of election panel members at the School of Languages.
