HBL Power Systems shares gain 2.5% on winning contract from Ashoka Buildcon

The contract includes the supply and commissioning of all equipment involved in the Kavach system requiring RDSO approval. The delivery and commissioning is to be completed in 18 months.

    HBL Power Systems shares gained 2.5 percent in early trade on July 27 on winning a contract from Ashoka Buildcon worth Rs 135 crore.

    HBL Power Systems has entered into a contract with Ashoka Buildcon Ltd (ABL) for the supply of the Kavach part of an EPC contract won by ABL in September 2022.

    The ABL contract with East Central Railway is for Rs 220 crores (including GST at 18%) for deploying Kavach and OFC network over 417 km and 60 locomotives, between Pradhankhunta in Jharkhand and Deen Dayal Upadhyay station in Uttar Pradesh.

    The ABL contract with HBL is for Rs 135 crore (including GST of 18 %).

    At 10:22 hrs HBL Power Systems was quoting at Rs 154.00, up Rs 1.95, or 1.28 per cent on the BSE.

    The share touched a 52-week high of Rs 156.90 on June 21, 2023. Currently, it is trading 1.85 percent below its 52-week high.
