Siddharth Bhamre of Angel Broking is optimistic on Axis Bank and ICICI Bank.
Bhamre told CNBC-TV18, "Though bank Nifty is not showing you much of change in open interest as well as not significant volatility in price levels as such. But if you look at the built up happening in Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Ltd where we are suggesting shorting at higher levels or at current levels also."
He further added, "Look at the banks in midcap space, Bank of India, Union Bank, Oriental Bank, these are adding open interest. There are some names like Allahabad Bank which is showing a lot of decline in open interest at lower levels. So this space would be fairly active.
