Peter Thiel-backed Sentient AI has launched its open-sourced Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) network that brings together agents, models, and data sources on one platform. The platform allows multiple AI agents to collaborate in real-time, share context, and execute complex workflows.
The platform is accessible through Sentient Chat, which opens to its 2 million waitlisted users today.
“Sentient brings together the largest open collection of AI agents, models, and data sources, and the economic rails to make them work at scale,” said Himanshu Tyagi, co-founder of Sentient.
He added, “AWS’s $200 million defense contract shows there’s demand for agent marketplaces, but those agents remain siloed, unable to share context or coordinate. Rather than working in isolation, agents collaborate through Spaces to deliver complex, integrated answers, and every developer is rewarded for the value their contributions create.”
As of now, Sentient’s platform features more than 40 specialized agents, 50 data sources, and over 10 AI models. The agents, from both Web2 and Web3, include generative graphics engine Napkin, and fast-growing search startup Exa and Composio, a developer-focused platform that enables AI agents to seamlessly integrate with over 250 external tools and APIs, the startup said.
The platform also integrates ecosystem agents deployed across multiple blockchains, such as Base, BNB, Polygon, Arbitrum, Celo, Near and others. These agents and data sources are accessible through Sentient Chat, a consumer interface that allows users to discover, invoke, and compose agents and data sources into task workflows.

Unlike traditional pay-per-API models that charge developers without offering ownership or profit-sharing, Sentient rewards contributors with a direct stake in the network’s growth.
Till date, Sentient AI has raised around $85 million in seed round from marquee investors including Peter Thiel's Founders Fund, Pantera Capital, and Framework Ventures. The San Francisco-headquartered startup is currently valued at $1.2 billion.
Sentient’s mission is to ensure that AGI is open-source and not controlled by any single entity.
