Axis Mutual Fund has launched a new scheme as Axis Focused 25 Fund, an open ended equity scheme. The objective fo the scheme is to generate long term capital appreciation by investing in a concentrated portfolio of equity & equity related instruments of up to 25 companies.
The New Fund Offer (NFO) will be open for subscription from June 11, and will close on June 25, 2012. The scheme re-opens on or before 6 July 2012.
During the New Fund Offer (NFO) period, the units of the scheme will be offered at Rs 10 per unit and at NAV based prices thereafter. The scheme offers growth and dividend option. Dividend option offers payout & reinvestment facility.The minimum investment amount is Rs. 5000 and in multiples of Rs. 1 thereafter.The entry load charge will be nil for the scheme. Exit load charge will be 1%, if units are redeemed / switched-out within 1 year from the date of allotment.The scheme will allocate 65% to 100% of assets in equity and equity related instruments (of not exceeding 25 companies); of which 90% to 100% would be in companies among the top 200 in terms of market capitalization, upto 10% in other equities. The scheme would allocate upto 35% of assets in debt and money market instruments.The primary benchmark Index for the scheme is S&P CNX Nifty and the additional benchmark is BSE 200.The fund manager of the scheme will be Pankaj Murarka.
