BofA takes 0.66% stake in MTAR Tech; SocGen and Marshall Wace swap Rs 51 crore Tata Capital

MTAR Technologies shares may have reacted to the deal, rising 6.84 percent to Rs 2,689.7 amid high volumes, despite sharp sell-off in equity markets.

BofA Securities Europe has acquired 0.66 percent equity stake in MTAR Technologies, the precision engineering solutions provider, while Societe Generale, and Marshall Wace exchanged 0.03 percent shares of Tata Capital.

Perhaps, MTAR Technologies shares may have reacted to the deal, rising 6.84 percent to Rs 2,689.7 amid high volumes, despite sharp sell-off in equity markets. The stock intraday touched highest level since October 23, 2023 during the session.

BofA Securities Europe SA has acquired 2.06 lakh shares (0.66 percent of paid-up equity) in MTAR Technologies at Rs 2,665.45 per share, for Rs 54.9 crore.

In Tata Capital, Societe Generale has bought 14.33 lakh shares (0.03 percent stake) at Rs 354.5 per share for Rs 50.82 crore, from Marshall Wace Investment Strategies through its Tops World Equities Fund and Eureka Fund. The stock climbed 1.55 percent to Rs 360.

Aegis Investment Fund sold 86,611 equity shares in Krystal Integrated Services at Rs 622.89 per share for Rs 5.39 crore, while Viney Growth Fund offloaded 57,600 shares in Luxury Time at Rs 84.55 per share for Rs 48.7 lakh.

Sivananda Balaji Penjuri sold 10.45 lakh shares in 3i Infotech at Rs 15.55 per share for Rs 1.62 crore, while Tiger Strategies Fund -I continued offloading stake in EPW India, the laptop refurbisher, selling 87,600 shares (0.76 percent stake) at Rs 117.11 per share for Rs 1.02 crore.

In current week, Tiger Strategies sold 2.89 lakh shares (2.5 percent stake) in EPW India through three transactions, of its total shareholding of 4.65 percent stake as of December 2025.

The brisk action was also seen in K V Toys India, the plastic-moulded and metal-based toys maker. 129 Wealth Fund, the alternative investment fund managed by Paul Asset, picked up 31,800 shares at Rs 316.77 per share for Rs 1 crore.

Kwality Pharmaceuticals was also in focus, soaring 5.58 percent to Rs 1,153.35 amid high volumes. ARK Global Emerging Companies LP has acquired 76,400 shares in the pharma company at Rs 1,130.04 per share for Rs 8.63 crore, however, Deepak Bansal sold 69,353 shares at Rs 1,122.42 per share for Rs 7.78 crore.

Meanwhile, Ketan Hasmukhlal Doshi has bought 56.83 lakh shares (1.48 percent stake) in Sigachi Industries at Rs 29.91 per share, for Rs 17 crore. However, the stock has been under pressure, hitting lowest level since August 2023 and closing 0.66 percent lower at Rs 29.91.
