Mecklai Graph of the Day - Hungarian Forint plummets to record low

The HUF, or the Hungarian Forint, plummeted to a record low of 324.17 against the Euro last night. As can be seen from the graph, the Forint has been continued to depreciate against its European counterpart with an almost a vertical ascent since the second half of 2011. The sell-off briefly halted towards the end of 2011, but the depreciation has resumed off late noting escalating political uncertainties in Hungary.
