Here are experts equity calls for the day on how the markets are expected to trade:

Sean Darby, Jefferies: Technically, the US equity markets are overbought and due for a pull-back, but market breadth suggests the trend is still upwards. Debt negotiations will once again involve brinkmanship and will weigh on sentiment.

Jyotivardhan Jaipuria, Bank of America Merrill Lynch: Global Investors are Overweight India now. However, India's stellar performance last year and the overweight positioning are some of the risks to the market. Clients continue to prefer better quality names like ICICI Bank, Tata Motors & Maruti. But we believe it's the low quality names that may perform strongly this quarter.
