FIIs net buy Rs 718 cr in equities on Tue (prov)

Institutional action

FIIs were net buyers of Rs 718 crore while DIIs net sellers of Rs 492 crore in the cash market on Tuesday, as per provisional data available on NSE. FIIs were net sellers of Rs 247 crore in the F&O market.

FIIs in F&O

FIIs were net buyers of Rs 109 crore in Index Futures and net buyers of Rs 132 crore in Index Options on Tuesday. However, FIIs were net sellers of Rs 487 crore in Stock Futures.

Market cues

NSE F&O Open Interest was up by Rs 3,376 crore at Rs 1.14 lakh crore.

F&O cues

Total Nifty Futures' Open Interest was up by Rs 752 crore while total Nifty Options Open Interest up by Rs 3,376 crore.

Stock Futures added 1.67 crore shares in Open Interest (OI). Nifty Futures added 4.1 lakh shares in Open Interest and ended at 14 points premium versus 26 points.

Nifty Open Interest PCR was down at 1.37 versus 1.41. Nifty Puts added 10 lakh shares in Open Interest while Nifty Calls added 19.6 lakh shares in Open Interest.

Nifty 6300 Call added 6 lakh shares in Open Interest. Nifty 5700 Put added 6 lakh shares in Open Interest. Nifty 6200 Call added 5 lakh shares in Open Interest.

Nifty 6400 Call added 1.8 lakh shares in Open Interest. Nifty 6100 Put shed 3.2 lakh shares in Open Interest.
