After spending years largely out of the spotlight, EXO are finally ready to step back into the centre of the K-pop scene.
On Monday, the group will release a brand-new studio album, marking a long-awaited comeback that fans have been counting down to.
SM Entertainment confirmed that EXO’s eighth full-length album, titled "REVERXE," will be unveiled at "6 p.m.", bringing an end to a lengthy gap between major releases.
This album is particularly meaningful as it is the group’s first full studio project since "EXIST" came out in July 2023.
With more than two years having passed, "REVERXE" arrives at a time when both the group and their fanbase are eager for a fresh chapter. The record reflects not only EXO’s musical evolution but also their resilience after years shaped by military service and personal challenges.
"REVERXE" features nine tracks in total, offering a mix of intensity and emotion. The lead single "Crown" anchors the album with a powerful sound, while other songs explore softer and more vulnerable themes.
"I'm Home" delivers a warm, wintery atmosphere, and "Suffocate" captures the emotional weight and lingering pain of a breakup. Together, the songs paint a picture of a group that has matured while staying true to its identity.
Six members — Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun and Lay — take part in the album. Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin do not appear on the release due to an ongoing contract dispute with SM Entertainment, a situation that continues to unfold and has been closely followed by fans.
"Crown" is described as a hard dance track that blends Atlanta-style trap drums, heavy metal guitar riffs and EDM synthesizers. Its lyrics express a desperate vow to protect a precious person, using the metaphor of a crown.

The music video, which will premiere on EXO’s official YouTube channel the same day, features choreography symbolising the act of claiming and placing a crown, reinforcing the song’s central theme.
EXO had been on hiatus since 2019 as members fulfilled their mandatory military duties, with Sehun completing his service last September.
The group quietly reconnected with fans through a meet-and-greet event in December, making this comeback feel both personal and triumphant.
