PC Jeweller closes 11% higher on listing day

Jewellery retailer PC Jeweller rose 10.5 percent to close at Rs 149.20 on the National Stock Exchange on Thursday.

    Jewellery retailer PC Jeweller rose 10.5 percent to close at Rs 149.20 on the National Stock Exchange on Thursday.


    The stock opened at Rs 137 (which was an intraday low) and hit an intraday high of Rs 154.70 on further buying in second half of trade today.


    Total combined (BSE and NSE) traded volume was 9.3 crore equity shares, higher by more than 100 percent compared to issue size of 4.51 crore shares.


    In terms of returns for investors, retail received a premium of Rs 19.20 over issue price of Rs 130 while Rs 14.2 premium for other investors.


    Jewellery manufacturer, retailer and exporter PC Jeweller raised more than Rs 600 crore through the issue, out of which nearly Rs 91 crore was raised by allocating 67,16,250 equity shares to 10 anchor investors. It intends to use issue proceeds for setting up additional 20 showrooms by FY14 with an outlay of Rs 517 crore.
