IIT Roorkee sees job offers rise on day 4 of placement season

On the second day of the placement season, companies extended 440 offers including pre-placement offers (PPOs).

Meanwhile, phase one of the placement season at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay started on December 1.

On the fourth day of the placement drive for the 2023-24 batch at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, the number of job offers surged to 593, marking a significant increase from 401 on day one, according to reports. More than 100 recruiters participated in the event held from December 3 to 4.

On the second day of the placement season, companies extended 440 offers including pre-placement offers (PPOs). By the end of day three, the institute had recorded 89 companies issuing 504 job offers, including PPOs.

During this period, students secured 16 international offers. The recruiters included Accenture Japan, American Express, Axis Bank, Meesho and Standard Chartered.

The phase one of the placement season at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay started on December 1. More than 350 companies are expected to participate in the placement season, which will continue till December 15.

The IIT Guwahati campus placements for the 2023-24 academic year began with 164 offers from 59 companies on day one.
