Govt nominates Fin Serv Secy Anjuly Duggal to RBI board

The Central government has nominated Duggal, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance on the Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India vice Hasmukh Adhia, the RBI said in a statement.

    Newly appointed Financial Services Secretary Anjuly Chib Duggal has been nominated to the central board of the Reserve Bank.

    She replaces Hasmukh Adhia, who was appointed the Revenue Secretary last week.

    The Central government has nominated Duggal, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance on the Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank of India vice Hasmukh Adhia, the RBI said in a statement.

    Duggal's nomination is with effect from September 3, it said.

    As per the RBI website, there are 17 board members including the RBI Governor and four Deputy Governors.

    Besides, Duggal was also nominated on the board of State Bank of India with effect from September 3.
