French car manufacturer Renault has confirmed that it will be selling two variants of its popular model Duster with a discount of around Rs 2 lakh. The decision was taken as the company has decided to stop the production of these two variants.

However, the discount is being offered only to the members of the Gang of Dusters (GOD) group, the official membership group for the car. The discount will be available for models 110 PS AWD Adventure Edition and the base 85 PS variant.

According to a report by Zee Business, Renault is offering the GOD group an exchange offer of Rs 10,000 along with a corporate discount of Rs 7,000 on both the variants. This will take the total discounts on the car to up to Rs 2.17 lakh on 110 PS AWD Adventure edition and Rs 1.77 lakh on the base 85 PS variant.

The reason for this is the company's decision to launch a new model i.e. the Renault Captur.

The Renault Duster, meanwhile, will be produced and sold in other existing variants such as the 85 PS RxE, 85 PS RxZ and 110 PS AMT RxZ.
