German luxury car maker Mercedez-Benz moved the apex court today saying it is ready to pay a 1 percent environment cess on the sale of diesel cars, provided the Supreme Court revokes the ban imposed by the National Green Tribunal on the registration of diesel vehicles over 2000cc in Delhi-NCR.Mercedes having most of its offerings above 2000cc, has been worst hit due to the ban.The car maker is offering to pay the 1 percent green cess for its commitment to tackle air pollution.
