Cement manufacturer JK Lakshmi Cement on Friday said it has tied up with Snapdeal to offer its entire product range online.

"JK Lakshmi has tied up with Snapdeal to offer its entire product range including cement, plaster of Paris, RMC, AAC blocks and gypsum plaster online in all the existing markets," a statement issued here stated. JK Lakshmi is the first company to make a foray into the online space offering a basket of products, its Whole Time Director Shailendra Chouksey said.

"We constantly aim at adapting innovating measures to ensure ease of access to our customers. Digital and e-commerce has seen boom in past couple of years and is proved to be one of the most effective option to reach out to our potential customers," he added.

Currently, the company has cement plants in states like Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, and Chhattisgarh and sells its products across 14 states, which account for more than 50 percent of all India cement demand.

In addition, it has 12 ready mix concrete plants in four states, and an AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete) block plant in north and has an all India presence in POP and gypsum based plaster products, the company said.

"By providing ease of access to its customers, one can order a minimum of ten bags of cement at once. We are very positive about this tie-up," Chouksey added.
