Media stocks have been in the limelight off late as they have been finding favour with veteran investors like Porinju Veliyath. Den Networks saw a strong turnaround at the profit level, led by EBITDA growth in the quarter gone by.

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, SN Sharma, CEO of the company shared his readings and views on how Q3 is shaping up.

We are focusing on monetisation. The board has given the mandate to do a good business, monetise, focus on the collection, get out of the non-core businesses and we have taken certain bold decisions in that direction, he said.

We have ensured that our operational cost do not go up so it is almost stagnant, he added.

On margins he said, we expect 25-30 percent margins for FY18. “We are likely to maintain that because couple of broadcasters deal gets renewed in upcoming quarter that is Q4. So we are likely to see a marginal hike in our expenses but if the subscription growth supports us and the way we have been performing, if the growth continues, I am sure we will be able to sustain this hike that broadcasters are expecting,” said Sharma.
