Apollo Gleneagles joins PSU's PPN measure after 17 months

Apollo Gleneagles has finally joined the Preferred Provider Network (PPN) initiative of the PSU general insurance companies after almost 17 months of its introduction.

Apollo Gleneagles has finally joined the Preferred Provider Network (PPN) initiative of the PSU general insurance companies after almost 17 months of its introduction. PPN is an initiative by PSU insurance companies -- New India Assurance Co. Ltd., National Insurance Co. Ltd, United India Insurance Co. Ltd. and Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd -- wherein cashless facility is provided only in PPN hospitals through TPAs.


"With signing of the MoU with the major hospital in Kolkata, the number of hospitals under PPN had gone up to 95 since it become operational since January 15, 2012," Heritage Health TPA CAO Surendra Tiwati said. Heritage Health TPA is the lead TPA and National Insurance Company is lead insurer for implementation of PPN in Kolkata.


Apollo Gleneagles CEO Rupali Basu today signed the MoU with General Insurance Public Sector Association to mark the joining.
