1992: Joined IT behemoth Infosys
1992-2002: Instrumental in pushing Infosys'revenue to $700m from $2 million
2002: Murthy faced a sexual harassment lawsuit filed by his former executive secretary at Infosys Reka Maximovitch. Infosys had to settle the lawsuit out of court for $3 million.
2002: Quits Infosys and founded Quintant, a business process outsourcing company
2003: iGATE Corporation acquires Murthy's Quintant and names him CEO of iGATE Global Solutions Limited
2006: Appointed director at iGATE Computer Systems Ltd
2008: Appointed president and CEO at iGATE Computer Systems Ltd
2010: Re-elected by the shareholders to serve as a director for a three-year term expiring in 2013.
2011: Steered iGate to acquire Patni Computers for $1.22 billion. It is the largest takeover in the Indian IT business, larger than Oracle's acquisition of i-flex in 2005 and EDS's acquisition of MphasiS in 2006.
