Motherson to invest Rs 5 bn to expand capacity in FY12

Auto parts maker Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd plans to spend about Rs 5 billion in 2011/12 to expand capacity, its chief operating officer said on Thursday.

    Auto parts maker Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd plans to spend about Rs 5 billion in 2011/12 to expand capacity, its chief operating officer said on Thursday.


    The company plans to commission six plants in India, Hungary and South Africa in 2011, Pankaj K Mital told Reuters over telephone.

    The company earlier reported a 41% rise in consolidated profit in October-December to Rs 1.06 billion and a 17% growth in sales to Rs 20.83 billion.
