Sonali Bendre stuns in revamped sunset saree with blouse crafted over 500 hours

Sonali Bendre, who is currently seen on the show Pati, Patni aur Panga as a host alongside Munawar Faruqui, is making headlines for her stunning appearances in desi sarees, accessorised flawlessly with beautiful jewellery.

Recently, the actress shared one of her looks on Instagram, sporting a sunset saree with the most gorgeous appliqué blouse. The saree was draped beautifully and looked refreshingly graceful on the actress.

Later, the designer of the saree, Nachiket Barve, took to his social media handle to share a backstory and describe the saree and its inspiration. He shared that he first met Sonali 15 years ago at her “tasteful home,” where she had a suitcase of clothes that also carried some outfits from his collection.

Describing Sonali’s personality, he wrote, “She was vivacious, gracious, and knew her fashion very well. Impeccable taste and a sure sense of her style have been her calling cards over the years. Sonali and I hit it off, and we did a series of wonderful appearances for her brand events and other looks.”

He recalled how thirteen years ago they did an ombré chiffon saree, whose inspiration was the sunset sky. It was a huge hit with the audience and drove his interest in the six-yard drape.

Interestingly, Nachiket met Sonali again last year, when the two decided to recreate the previous version, and the opportunity to do so came with her new show Pati, Patni aur Panga.

The designer explained the outfit and the insane hours it took to create her blouse. He wrote, “A handcrafted blouse that takes over 500 hours of weaving and embroidery… embellished with individually crafted flowers paired with a hand-dyed, sunset-hued saree is what you see her wearing! She looks even more radiant and accomplished after this time lapse… doesn’t she?”

Nachiket also shared an old picture of the saree in which Sonali looked equally gorgeous. This time, her jewels, including earrings, rings, and bangles, matched the hues of her saree perfectly, and her reworked blouse made it a show-stopping look.
