Actress Tara Sutaria has broken her silence after a wave of online backlash following her on-stage appearance with singer AP Dhillon during his recent Mumbai concert.

The event, which was also attended by Tara’s boyfriend Veer Pahariya, became a trending topic after a clip showing Tara and AP Dhillon sparked debate among social-media users.

In the viral footage, AP Dhillon invited Tara on stage as Veer watched from the audience. The singer hugged her and kissed her on the cheek before resuming his performance, a gesture that prompted mixed reactions online. Some viewers accused Tara of being ‘too comfortable’ on stage, while others speculated about Veer’s reaction.

Amid the chatter, Tara took to Instagram to post a strongly-worded response. In a video, she slammed those who spread what she called “false narratives” and carry out “paid PR campaigns.” She asserted that such negativity does not affect her, writing: “Loud and proud and in it together! @apdhillon FAV! What a night! Thank you, Mumbai, for SO much love for our song. Here’s to more music and memories together.”

In another part of her caption, Tara made her stance even clearer: “P.S. False narratives, clever editing and paid PR campaigns by folks won’t and don’t shake us up! In the end, love and truth always win. So the joke’s on the bullies.”

The clip Tara posted showed her dancing with AP Dhillon on stage during their track “Thodi Si Daaru,” a collaboration the two had worked on earlier this year. Her statement instantly drew attention from fans and fellow celebrities.

Singer AP Dhillon reacted in the comments with a simple but telling “Queen.” Veer Pahariya also joined the conversation, commenting “Unreal” with red heart and fire emojis. Disha Patani added, “Go girl,” while socialite Orry wrote, “Super star.” Veer later clarified in another comment that the viral video showing his supposed “awkward” reaction had actually been taken during another song altogether — not during “Thodi Si Daaru.” He dismissed those spreading the clips as “jokers.”

The incident reignited conversation around celebrity trolling, especially when personal relationships are dragged into public scrutiny. Fans pointed out how quickly narratives can spiral on social media, especially when small gestures are taken out of context.

Tara and AP Dhillon’s collaboration on “Thodi Si Daaru” has already been a hit, and this was not her first time attending one of his concerts. She had earlier been spotted at his Pune performance as well.

Tara made her relationship with Veer Pahariya Instagram-official in August 2025. Since then, the couple has often shared affectionate posts online, drawing attention for their chemistry and openness.
