In the latest haute couture creation by designer Manish Malhotra, a breathtaking saree adorned with 100,000 pearls was recently showcased by starlet Shanaya Kapoor on her Instagram page. The pearl white saree, resplendent in its intricate design, was praised for each pearl meticulously hand-sewn to create a harmonious symphony of elegance. This ensemble compared to a work of art, symbolised timeless beauty fused with contemporary flair.

Complementing the opulence of the saree was a halter neck blouse, also intricately embellished with pearls, perfectly showcasing Shanaya's svelte figure. Strings of pearl necklace and a choker, layered delicately around her neck, added an extra dimension of luxury to the look, each strand shimmering with ethereal brilliance. To complete the ensemble, Shanaya carried a micro pearl bag, a chic accessory that highlighted the attention to detail and the designer’s vision in white designs.

This petite yet statement-making piece was the perfect accompaniment, defining contemporary Indian fashion. Shanaya's sleek ponytail, paired with natural makeup, provided a clean, polished finish that allowed the sartorial splendor of the outfit to take center stage. This minimalist approach to hair and makeup accentuated her natural beauty, ensuring the ensemble remained the focal point.

Manish Malhotra's pearl sari, as worn by Shanaya Kapoor, is a celebration of Indian heritage and craftsmanship, reimagined for the modern fashionista. By thoughtfully incorporating pearl details into your Indian wear, you too can achieve a timeless and sophisticated look that stands out in any setting.

Indian wear with pearl embellishments:  Anarkalis or saris with pearl detailing on the yoke or hemline look sophisticated. Opt for subtle, scattered pearl designs for a classy appearance. While choosing a blouse with pearl embellishments, either on the neckline, sleeves, or back. A halter neck or a backless blouse with pearl detailing can add a contemporary twist. For salwar suits, a dupatta with a pearl-embellished border can enhance the overall look. Drape it elegantly to showcase the pearl details.

Jewellery: Pearl chokers, long strands of pearls, or layered necklaces can beautifully complement traditional wear. Match the style of the necklace with the neckline of your outfit. Pearl jhumkas or chandelier earrings can add a touch of elegance. For a more modern look, try pearl ear cuffs or studs. Pearl bangles or bracelets can be a subtle addition to your ensemble. Mix them with traditional gold or silver bangles for a fusion look.

Accessories: Pearl-embellished juttis or sandals can be the perfect finishing touch. Choose footwear that balances comfort with style. A pearl-studded clutch or potli bag can elevate your outfit. Ensure the size and style of the bag complement your attire.

Hairstyles: Adorn your hair with pearl hairpins, combs, or a pearl-studded tiara. These accessories can add a fairy-tale touch to your traditional look. A sleek ponytail with a pearl hairband or a bun decorated with a pearl string can look incredibly chic.

Makeup: Go for a natural makeup look with soft, shimmery eyes and a nude lip to let the pearls stand out.  Use a highlighter to give your skin a dewy finish that complements the luminosity of the pearls.

Styling: Avoid overloading on pearl details. Balance the pearl elements with plain or lightly embellished pieces to avoid looking too busy. Pearls go well with pastel shades, deep jewel tones, and classic white or off-white outfits. Choose colours that enhance the beauty of the pearls.
