The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination 2026. Eligible candidates can now apply online through the official portal at https://upsconline.nic.in. The last date to submit the application form is March 3, 2026, by 6:00 PM.

Candidates are advised to complete the registration process well before the deadline to avoid last minute issues.

The e-Admit Card will be issued on the last working day of the week preceding the examination. Candidates who request a change of scribe will receive their e-Admit Card three days before the exam.

How to Apply for UPSC IES, ISS 2026

Candidates can follow the steps below to submit their application:

1. Visit the official UPSC online portal at https://upsconline.nic.in.
2. Create an account on the Online Application Portal.
3. Complete the Universal Registration to generate a Unique Registration Number (URN). This is a one time process.
4. Fill in the Common Application Form (CAF) with personal and educational details.
5. Select the IES/ISS Examination 2026 under the Examination-Specific Module.
6. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format.
7. Pay the application fee, if applicable.
8. Review the details carefully and submit the form before March 3, 2026, 6 PM.
9. Save the URN and application number for future use.
