Actor Abhay Deol recently took to Instagram to share about his health struggle. He mentioned how for a long time he had been dealing with knee pain and sciatica due to a slip disc. Reluctant to undergo any kind of surgery, he decided to try stem cell therapy since he had been reading about it for a while.
In the post, he expressed his happiness for undergoing a process in which his own body cells helped him heal his body. He wrote, "I have to say, It’s amazing how natural and safe the procedure felt — no synthetic materials, just my own cells helping my body heal itself. What a great time to be alive."

The actor also mentioned that his doctor has stored his stem cells for any health problems he may face in future.
Many of you may have heard about stem cell therapy, but you probably don't know what it exactly entails. Well, to explain it simply, this therapy uses special cells in the body that can repair, replace or regenerate damaged tissues in the body. After the cells are collected, they are processed and concentrated in a laboratory to ensure their effectiveness. The stem cells are then injected into the affected area in order to help regenerate the healthy tissue.
In the recent past, Kylie Jenner also shared how she underwent stem cell therapy in hope of relief from her chronic back pain post her son's delivery. Incidentally, Kylie got the encouragement to try stem cell therapy after her sister Kim Kardashian reported good things about it. The latter too had taken stem cell therapy to get relief from her shoulder and back pain.
What one must note is that after undergoing stem cell therapy, one must bring about some lifestyle changes for sustained results and improved healing. From exercising regularly, eating nutrition-rich food, getting adequate sleep, to making sure one is not taking stress, all these things play a key role.
