Singer Zubeen Garg died on September 19 in a scuba diving accident in Singapore. The death certificate cites "drowning" as Zubeen Garg’s cause of death, which has been questioned by his fans.

However, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has reassured the veteran singer’s fans that a second autopsy will be performed at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday, in the presence of doctors from AIIMS-Guwahati, to rule out foul play.

Following the autopsy, Zubeen Garg’s final journey was scheduled to begin at 7.30 am on Tuesday, September 23. However, the CM has announced a new time now.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed that Zubeen Garg's final journey to the cremation ground will begin from 9:30 am on Tuesday, after a second postmortem examination is conducted on his body.
