When Saiyaara's Ahaan Panday revealed his sister Alanna made him smoke his first cigarette at 16, “I had underdeveloped lungs, she called me in the bathroom…”

An old video featuring Ahaan Panday has resurfaced on social media, drawing fresh attention for its candid and slightly awkward revelation about his teenage years. In the clip, the actor is seen recalling the first time he ever smoked a cigarette, a moment he attributes to his sister, Alanna Panday. The resurfaced video has quickly gone viral, sparking amused reactions and renewed curiosity around the Saiyaara star.

Speaking openly, Ahaan revealed that he was just 16 when the incident took place. Recounting the memory, he said, “When I was 16, Alanna called me into her bathroom and she made me try my first cigarette.” The statement instantly prompted a reaction from Alanna, who appeared visibly embarrassed and rushed to defend herself.

“You can’t say this sh*t, man. He’s lying. I am telling you. He’s making me sound like such a bad sister,” Alanna said, laughing but clearly uncomfortable as the clip continued. She went on to explain her side of the story, adding, “I was just excited that I had discovered something, and I wanted to share it with him.”

Ahaan, however, doubled down on his version of events, insisting that he was telling the truth. With a mix of humour and disbelief, he replied, “I’m not lying. I was 16. I had underdeveloped lungs, and you are giving me cigarettes, all out of love.” His remark drew laughter from those present, while also underlining the absurdity of the situation in hindsight.

The exchange, marked by sibling banter and unfiltered honesty, struck a chord with viewers online. Many social media users described the moment as relatable, pointing out how older siblings often introduce younger ones to things they later regret. Others noted how rare it is for young actors to speak so openly about such personal experiences without trying to polish their image.

The resurfaced clip comes at a time when Ahaan Panday has been enjoying significant attention following his Bollywood debut. The actor made his first big-screen appearance in Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, opposite Aneet Padda. The film, which follows two singer-songwriters who fall in love while navigating creative and emotional challenges, struck a chord with audiences.

Released on July 18, Saiyaara earned positive reviews and went on to collect an impressive Rs 579 crore worldwide. The romantic drama emerged as the highest-grossing film featuring debutants, firmly placing Ahaan in the spotlight as one of Bollywood’s new faces to watch.

While his professional journey continues to gain momentum, this resurfaced video offers a glimpse into Ahaan Panday’s off-screen life, reminding audiences that behind the rising stardom are ordinary, imperfect, and sometimes embarrassing teenage memories.
