Television actress Ruhanika Dhawan, who grew up in the spotlight as Roohi in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, recently shared a deeply disturbing personal experience that struck a chord with many, especially women who travel alone every day.

Taking to Instagram, Ruhanika opened up about a frightening cab ride that left her shaken and sparked an important conversation about safety and accountability.

Ruhanika Dhawan revealed that the incident happened while she was returning home from college on a route she knows well. What began as a routine journey quickly turned unsettling when she noticed the cab driver taking unnecessary detours.

Despite the GPS clearly showing the correct route, the driver allegedly continued to go the wrong way. Even after she repeatedly asked him to follow the navigation and take proper turns, he reportedly ignored her requests.

As the ride dragged on, Ruhanika Dhawan said her sense of unease grew into genuine fear. The situation worsened when she asked the driver to stop the car and he did not do so immediately.

According to her account, the driver later began using foul and abusive language, further heightening her distress.

Feeling unsafe and helpless, she eventually raised her voice, after which the driver finally stopped the vehicle. Ruhanika chose to get out and complete the rest of her journey by metro instead.

Sharing how traumatic the experience was, Ruhanika Dhawan spoke about the vulnerability she felt in that moment. As a young woman and a student who depends on cab services for daily travel, the incident left her questioning how safe such rides truly are.
