TV actors Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary. The couple’s celebration took an unexpected turn after they were subjected to a GST raid.
According to The Times of India, the Chhattisgarh State GST department raided multiple places connected to Vicky’s family business in Bilaspur in relation to a coal company. According to officials and media reports, the multi-location raids resulted in a total tax submission of Rs. 27.5 crore from three significant coal trafficking companies.
State GST Secretary Mukesh Bansal gave the order for the raid. 11 locations related to Mahavir Coal Washery, Feel Coal, and Paras Coal & Beneficiation were simultaneously searched by Raipur enforcement teams.
On December 12, the raid started early in the morning and lasted until late at night. They included commercial buildings, residences, laundromats, and industrial facilities.
The family turned over about Rs. 10 crore during the search, which was allegedly connected to Ankita and Vicky's family. They deposited Rs. 11 crore the following day, while another washery turned in Rs. 6.5 crore, bringing the total to Rs. 27.5 crore.
