TikTok star Tucker Genal, known for his energetic challenge videos and easygoing on-screen presence, has died at the age of 31. The news was confirmed by his brothers, Connor Genal and Carson Genal, who shared the announcement on social media on Monday, December 15.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Genal reportedly died by suicide at a residence in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 11.

In a deeply emotional joint post, Connor and Carson remembered their brother as both a role model and a source of constant support. They described Tucker as their best friend, their hero, and the kindest person they had ever known, adding that his influence would continue to guide them throughout their lives. Alongside the message, the brothers shared a series of personal photos with Tucker, reflecting moments from their childhood and their rise as content creators.

The Genal brothers rose to prominence through their shared TikTok account, Hustle House, where their competitive challenge videos and lighthearted banter found a massive audience. Tucker alone had built a following of over 2.5 million on TikTok, along with more than 340,000 followers on Instagram. His content was marked by humor, teamwork, and a sense of camaraderie that resonated with young audiences across platforms.

Before his social media success, Tucker pursued a more traditional path. He graduated from Furman University in 2018 with a degree in business administration and later worked as a social media coordinator for sneaker artist Kickasso. Friends and collaborators have since highlighted how seriously he took his work, even as his online persona remained carefree and upbeat.

Tributes have continued to pour in from friends, including Tucker’s best friend and frequent collaborator, Sean Schutt. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Schutt credited Tucker with helping him find purpose during a difficult period in his life, describing him as selfless, compassionate, and deeply motivating. Schutt recalled how moving to Los Angeles and living with the Genal brothers changed his outlook, calling Tucker a source of light and encouragement.

Tucker’s final social media appearance came on December 4, when he and Schutt shared a festive post posing with Santa Claus, captioned with a playful reference to the Christmas spirit.

The Genal family has requested privacy as they grieve, while also expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support. Tucker Genal is remembered not only for his viral success, but for the kindness and impact he had on those closest to him.
