India’s T20 captain and crowd favourite Suryakumar Yadav continues to make waves not just on the cricket field, but off it as well.

The star batter has invested an undisclosed amount in House of EM5, a fast-growing perfume brand from Indore that recently caught national attention after appearing on Shark Tank India.

The brand had already created buzz last year when it secured a Rs 1 crore investment from Boat co-founder Aman Gupta. With Suryakumar now coming on board as an investor, House of EM5 has received another major boost—one that blends celebrity appeal with entrepreneurial vision.

Known for his infectious energy and leadership, Suryakumar even shared perfume samples from the brand with his Indian teammates during the current tour.

The gesture was met with smiles and warm congratulations, as players applauded their captain’s move into the startup world and wished him success beyond cricket.

While Suryakumar’s off-field ventures are growing, his on-field brilliance remains untouched. During the fifth and final T20I against New Zealand on Saturday (January 31), the right-hander etched his name into the record books.

He became the fastest player to reach 3,000 T20 international runs, achieving the feat in just 1,822 balls—surpassing legends like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Walking in after the early dismissals of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma, Suryakumar looked in sublime touch from the very first ball.

His blistering knock of 63 off just 30 deliveries, which included four boundaries and six towering sixes, tore through the New Zealand bowling attack at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.

India had a shaky start, with Samson falling cheaply and Abhishek Sharma’s promising cameo ending due to Lockie Ferguson’s extra pace.

But Suryakumar, alongside Ishan Kishan, breathed life into the innings after a relatively quiet powerplay. Once again, SKY lived up to his reputation—fearless, innovative, and unstoppable—as he powered India forward ahead of the T20 World Cup.
