Renowned filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has been making headlines for reasons beyond the silver screen. Known for her humour and warmth, Farah recently began sharing delightful cooking videos on social media, featuring her longtime cook, Dilip. But it’s her generous gesture off-camera that’s truly winning hearts.
Farah disclosed in a recent YouTube video that she has taken a very personal step to help Dilip's family by funding his kids' schooling.
One of them has enrolled in a culinary diploma program in addition to being accepted into an English-medium school. As she said, she wants to make sure they have access to better opportunities and can pursue professional careers in hotels or restaurants rather than working from home.
Her selfless act didn’t go unnoticed. Actress and politician Smriti Irani took to her Instagram Stories to applaud Farah’s compassion. Resharing a paparazzi post, she wrote, “Take a bow @farahkhankunder. God bless you.”
Farah was filming an episode of her popular show when she made this endearing revelation during an open discussion at actor Shalin Bhanot's house.
While speaking with Shalin’s mother, Farah shared, “Because our show is working, I’ve put Dilip’s kids into an English-medium school. One of them is also doing a culinary diploma so that they don’t have to work in homes but can instead work in good restaurants or big hotels.”
Farah's endeavours are a lovely reminder of how achievement can be a means of encouraging others, particularly those who labour in the background in silence. Known for his straightforward demeanour and charisma on-screen, Dilip has gained popularity among fans in Farah's videos, where he co-stars with Bollywood celebrities Vijay Varma, Kajol, and Malaika Arora.
Meanwhile, Smriti Irani will be making her acting comeback with the iconic television show Kabhi Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. The show will premiere on July 29 on Star Plus and will be streaming on Jio Hotstar.
