Sister Midnight OTT Release: When and where to watch Radhika Apte's BAFTA-nominated film

Sister Midnight delivered a bold performance in this comedy drama

BAFTA-nominated Sister Midnight starring Radhika Apte, Ashok Pathak, among others, will soon hit the OTT platform. The film was initially released on May 30 in selected theatres in India, and fans would soon be able to stream it online.

The official Instagram handle of the film’s production house, Altitude Films, took to Instagram while sharing film critic Mark Kermode’s review and announced the Sister Midnight OTT release date.

The caption of the post reads, “Very sharp. Very funny. Very surprising.” - Mark Kermode” The captioned continued, “BAFTA-nominated SISTER MIDNIGHT is available to buy or rent on digital now!”



However, Sister Midnight has yet to be released in India on Amazon Prime Video. The makers are yet to announce the official OTT release date for the Indian audience, but it could premiere soon.

Radhika Apte’s film was initially premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2024. Sister Midnight also features Chhaya Kadam, Smita Tambe and Daemian Greaves in the supporting roles.

The film received rave reviews from the critics and the audience alike, especially for Radhika Apte’s strong performance and the plot. The actress plays the role of a young bride, Uma, who is in an awkward arranged marriage to Gopal, portrayed by Ashok Pathak in Mumbai.

The film is set in Mumbai and follows an arranged marriage that spirals into darkness as the spineless husband watches his wife morph into a ruthless, feral force within their marital confines.

The movie delves into Uma’s life as she explores places like Marine Drive and Bandstand, and her daily commute on the Mumbai local train. She navigates feelings of boredom and societal expectations.
