Following Dharmendra’s passing on November 24, 2025, Shatrughan Sinha once again stood by the family. He revealed that he met Hema Malini and her daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, to offer his condolences.

Remembering his “elder brother,” he wrote, “Met our dearest family friend @dreamgirlhema. It was heartbreaking to meet her in these traumatic times of her tremendous loss of our dearest family friend, our elder brother @aapkadharam… Dharamji was a kind & gentle soul.”

Dharmendra passed away in Mumbai at the age of 89, twelve days after being discharged from Breach Candy Hospital. He was cremated at the Pawan Hans Crematorium amid tight security, and his prayer meet was held at Taj Lands End Hotel.
