On Monday evening, Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz has issued a statement on the behalf of the Khan family with regard to the Sunday firing incident.

Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz has issued a statement on the behalf of the Khan family and said that the ‘family has been taken aback by this shocking incident.’

Unknown assailants had fired at Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai on Sunday morning leaving everyone shocked.

Salman Khan and his parents were at their residence at the time of the incident which has sent shockwaves across Bollywood, his family and fans. Empty bullet shells were found on his balcony.

The Delhi police has identified one of the shooters, who is from Haryana and is a member of Rohit Godara gang. Godara handles operations for Lawrence Bishnoi gang in Rajasthan and has escaped to Dubai. But reports are that he might be residing in Canada.

Coming to Arbaaz, he said that the Khan family is helping the Mumbai police and that reports of them being not bothered with this firing are untrue. And also said no member of their family has issued any such ‘loose statement’.

In a note on his social media account, a disturbed Arbaaz wrote:  “The recent incident of firing by two unidentified persons on a motorcycle at Galaxy apartment, the residence of the Salim Khan family is very disturbing and unnerving. Our family has been taken aback by this shocking incident that took place. Unfortunately, some people claiming to be close to our family and pretending to be the spokesperson have been making loose statements to the media saying it's all a publicity stunt and the family remains unaffected which is not true and these views should not be taken seriously. No member of the Salim Khan family has made any statement regarding this incident to the media. At this time the family is helping and cooperating with the police in the investigation of this untoward incident. We have faith in the Mumbai police and we have been assured they will do everything in their capacity to protect and secure our family. Thank you everyone for your love and support.”

The police are investigating the case of firing. Salman Khan has been advised to avoid meeting many people in the public.

In a social media post on Sunday, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol has taken responsibility for the attack and termed it as a 'trailer.'

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde had also spoken with Salman Khan on Sunday and also the Mumbai Police Commissioner to take stock of the situation. While talking to reports, Shinde said he has asked the police to investigate the matter swiftly.
