Rihanna dazzles at Barbados’ Crop Over Festival with vibrant full-body costume

The 36-year-old Grammy-winning artist and entrepreneur Rihanna made a dazzling return to the 2024 Crop Over Festival in her home country of Barbados.

Making a grand entrance, the Fenty Beauty founder wore a full-body costume lavishly adorned with jewels. The dress was made with vibrant, multi-coloured wings in shades of pink, orange, and yellow, paired with a matching headpiece, embodying the festival's spirited and colorful essence.

Rihanna’s appearance on August 5, 2024, marks her first at the annual harvest festival since 2019, as reported by TMZ. Despite her strong ties to Barbados, she had not attended the Crop Over Festival for five years. Prior to this hiatus, she was a regular attendee, gracing the festival with her presence in 2017 and 2015.

In an April interview, Rihanna expressed her enduring connection to her homeland, stating, "Barbados will always be home. One hundred percent. I’m still a citizen after all these years."

According to the official Barbados Tourist Board, the Grand Kadooment Day marks the conclusion of the Crop Over Festival. This vibrant celebration features Masquerade Bands parading down the Mighty Grynner Highway, with revelers donning sequin costumes adorned with colorful feathers, jewels, and bright accents. Participants dance energetically behind music trucks and mobile bars, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
