Cricket star Smriti Mandhana returned to social media this week with her first post since the unexpected postponement of her wedding to Palash Muchhal. The post was a promotional video for a toothpaste brand — it came shortly after the couple’s nuptials, scheduled for November 23, 2025, in Sangli, were put on hold due to a sudden medical emergency.

On the morning of the wedding, Smriti’s father was rushed to the hospital, and the following day, Palash was also reportedly hospitalized.

In the advertisement video, she posted a video in paid partnership with the toothpaste brand Colgate. While the World Cup winner spoke about her career in the video, fans were more interested in the fact that she looked happy.

However, some noticed her missing engagement ring that sparked immediate chatter among fans and followers, with many questioning whether the ad was shot before the proposal or if the absence of the ring hinted at deeper issues.

Concerned fans also commented on Smriti's post, one wrote, ‘No nazar to my Queen.’ While other being concerned asked, “what happened to your voice ??” “You are back… hope you are doing ok and everyone at home as well,” wrote another. One fan commented under her post, “Why it feels like she is sad ,she is smiling but her voice and her eyes looks she is sad and she is not wearing her engagement ring.”

Compounding the buzz around the post, Smriti has removed most of her wedding‑related content from Instagram, including the engagement announcement, proposal video, and pre‑wedding celebrations, a move that some fans interpreted as a sign of deeper trouble in the relationship.

Meanwhile, representatives from both families maintain that the postponement was strictly due to health concerns, and no new wedding date has yet been confirmed.

Palash’s mother has expressed hope that the ceremony will take place once everyone is stable again.
