The box office clash between Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic face-offs of 2026. With both films slated to release on March 19, anticipation is already sky-high — and now, fresh reports suggest that Toxic will also follow the trend of extended runtimes.

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Toxic is expected to clock in at approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes. This places it close to the runtime of Dhurandhar 2, which is reportedly around 3 hours and 40 minutes long, making both films ambitious big-screen spectacles in terms of scale and duration.

A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Toxic’s final length is yet to be locked, but it comes to around 200 minutes, that is, 3 hours and 20 minutes. The makers feel that there’s enough entertainment and mass-appealing moments in the film and that the audience won’t get bored or restless."

The source further added context to the evolving perception around long films: "Also, earlier, having a long film would lead to a negative perception. But it all changed with Animal (2023). It was 3 hours and 21 minutes long and ran very successfully. In recent times, Border 2 (2026) was released with a runtime of 3 hours and 19 minutes. Not to forget, the duration of Dhurandhar’s (2026) first part was 3 hours and 34 minutes. All these films were huge hits and it remains to be seen if Toxic also follows suit."

Meanwhile, the makers have officially announced that the trailer of Toxic will be unveiled on March 8 in Bengaluru, further intensifying the buzz just days before its theatrical release.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film promises to present Yash in a completely new and intense avatar. Although the storyline remains tightly under wraps, promotional posters and teaser glimpses so far have portrayed him in a gritty, brooding look that has intrigued fans.

The film also features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara and Huma Qureshi in pivotal roles, adding to its pan-Indian appeal.
