Who are Jason Sanjay and Dhivya Sasha, kids of Thalapathy Vijay and Sangeetha and what are they currently doing?

Jason Sanjay and Dhivya Sasha Vijay are the two children of Tamil cinema star Vijay and his wife Sangeetha. Jason is carving a path in filmmaking — directing and working on his first feature — while Sasha, who appeared briefly in her father’s film Theri, focuses on her education and extracurriculars such as school badminton. They tend to keep a low public profile and do not run official social media accounts.

  • Son Jason Sanjay is directing his debut film Sigma
  • Daughter Divya Saasha focuses on studies and sports

There is so much happening in the last couple of days with regard to Thalapathy Vijay and wife Sangeetha as the latter has filed for a divorce. Post that, Vijay is under a lot of public scrutiny and all of a sudden, the focus has turned more and more to their two children, Jason Sanjay and Divya Saasha. They have mostly stayed out of the spotlight while building their own unique identities.

Jason Sanjay: The Up-and-Coming Filmmaker

Jason Sanjay, who is 25 years old and the son of Vijay and Sangeetha, has decided to work behind the camera instead of following his father into acting. He has a degree in screenwriting from London and a diploma in film production from the Toronto Film School.

Jason is currently directing his first film, Sigma, an action-adventure movie with Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. Lyca Productions is making the film. The project is set to come out in the summer of 2026, and Jason has already received praise for his technical discipline and vision. The shoot is almost done, with 95% of it finished in 65 days.

As a child, Jason also shared screen time with his father. He appeared in the hit movie Vettaikaaran in 2009 during the popular song "Naan Adicha," which was a rare chance for him to be on screen with Vijay.

Divya Saasha—School and Sports

Divya Saasha, 20, has kept her life outside of the entertainment world more private than her brother. In her early years, she focused on school and sports. She went to the American International School Chennai and was very good at badminton, representing her school in regional competitions.

There have been some rumors that Divya is interested in the arts, but she is still focused on her higher studies. She has even been reported to have traveled abroad to work on her academic goals.

Divya also had a memorable cameo with her father, just like her brother. She played the older version of Vijay's daughter in Theri, which was her only major on-screen credit.

A Family at a Crossroads

The Chengalpattu Family Court received Vijay and Sangeetha's divorce petition, which has put their family in the public eye after 27 years of marriage. The couple met in the middle of the 1990s and got married in 1999. They have kept their personal lives very private, and their kids haven't been seen in the news much until recently.

Jason is still working on his creative career as a filmmaker, and Divya is still pursuing her own academic and athletic goals. Both kids are the next generation of the family legacy, and they are finding their own way while their parents' legal troubles are getting more attention.
